TTPP was commissioned by Southern in partnership with Surrey County Council to provide ‘one stop shop’ construction consultancy services for the provision of a £1 Million project to provide an integrated transport interchange at Horley Railway Station in Surrey.

The project formed part of Surrey County Council’s on-going commitment to improve and integrate transport links between Gatwick, Crawley and Reigate.

The interchange allows for straight forward access between all modes of transport used by railway passengers and includes the following:

  • New bus stop facilities to serve existing local bus services and the new Fastway service
  • Newly resurfaced car parking facilities with spaces for 68 vehicles (4 disabled spaces), improved lighting and CCTV coverage
  • New passenger drop off area, TVMs and cycle shelters
  • New access to the station from the new interchange and car park via Platform 1

The project was awarded the Station Excellence of the year award at the 2008 HSBC Rail Business Awards
