We are a friendly, established multi-disciplinary consultancy practice providing a range of services to the construction industry.

The business has a varied portfolio of clients in a range of sectors and exciting plans for future growth and we are seeking a project manager to join our close-knit and supportive team of professionals.  As a project manager in a small multi-disciplinary practice the individual will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including:

  • Preparing programmes and project plans and monitoring progress
  • Ensuring programme milestones are meet
  • Liaising and managing subcontractors with regard to surveys and investigations
  • Inputting into and reviewing designs and cost plans for buildability issues, etc.
  • Preparing reports
  • Chairing and minuting meetings
  • Day to day project management of schemes (pre and post contract)
  • Preparation of fee bids
  • Supervision and mentoring of graduates
  • Review of project drawings and specifications for design coordination and CDM issues
  • Managing and coordinating a multi-disciplined project team

In summary an experienced “all-rounder” is required, who is able to work to tight deadlines whilst delivering a highly professional service to our clients.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/ experience:

  • MRICS or equivalent
  • Good understanding of JCT forms of contract
  • Understanding of the NEC form of contract preferable
  • Client facing
  • Well versed in use of Microsoft Projects
  • Conversant with the CDM regulations
  • Able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Rail experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good all round technical knowledge
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Holds UK driving licence
