We are a friendly, established multi-disciplinary consultancy practice providing a range of services to the construction industry. The business is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on varying schemes in a variety of sectors.  The successful individual will need to be able to carry out a dual Quantity Surveyor / Employer’s Agent role.

This particular role is busy and varied so no two days will be the same and the successful candidate will be able to run a project independently as part of the wider team.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/ experience:

  • Client facing
  • Pre and post cost management experience
  • Comfortable preparing cost plans independently
  • Ability to prepare outline programmes
  • A track record of managing your own projects independently
  • Good understanding of JCT forms of contract
  • Understanding of the NEC form of contract preferable
  • Able to fulfil a dual Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent role
  • Rail experience would be beneficial but not essential
  • Good all round technical knowledge
  • Proficient to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The above is a list of skills/experience that we’d be looking for, however the main requirement is a hands-on and practical attitude and the willingness to develop new skills and experience. Will mainly work as part of a team but will also take the initiative to work on their own when required.
