TTPP were commissioned by GTR to provide full Civil & Structural Engineering services for this scheme, great care was taken to ensure that station operations were maintained throughout the construction process, with a focus on maintaining access while the entrance buildings were being re-built.
Cantilevered RC ground beam foundations were designed to aid the temporary works design where excavations were adjacent to the platforms and existing lift shaft. A steel frame provided the superstructure. A detailed drainage design was also provided.
